I never knew there were so many signs that could trick you into buying something. Something like a car or a clothing material. Its weird how this companies have messages in their advertisements. They tell a little fact, it might not even be true or help you with your problem. Like the Pizza Hut commercial, they say their better, but to who are they better. Every advertisement is always trying to get you to buy something, and most of the time they don’t tell you anything. You look at the pictures and a sexy skinny guy or girl and you want it. Some advertisements try to show a message to help the consumer like the Truth commercials, those commercials are trying to get smokers to stop smoking and showing the bad effects, like you could lose your lung or your hair. Recently I saw a commercial for the Diet Pepsi Company, showing the Can working with Jackie Chan, and the Can playing porker. Now how does buying and drinking Diet Pepsi get you to do that? There is always advertisement that misleads a consumer, like a buy this plasma 50’ TV for only $900. But when you go there you have to make a rebate and what 4 to 6 months for it and have to end up buying warranty and spend $1500. Something with leasing a car, they show you a cheap price, you go there and they say you need a special piece that only a few have and veterans discount, and they will trick into buying a more expensive car.

You make a really good point about the difference between the "advertized price" and the hidden cost of the product. One of the things that people also fail to think about is accessorizing the products they buy. For example, when you buy an Xbox 360, it costs you $400, but it doesn't come with any games, so you need to buy at least one, which is another $49.99. And then you need a controller so you and your buddy can play against each other, so that's another $50. Then you need to get "Guitar Hero" and the guitar controller, so that's more money. Or, if you lease a car, you have to carry extra insurance, and you have to make sure you take immaculate care of the car or they won't take it back at the end of the lease and you have to keep making payments to buy it. And, of course, the cost of making the ad to show you the "advertized price" is built into all of it somewhere!

Good job!
